PB&J is a lunchtime staple for good reason–it's easy, it's beloved, and it lasts really well in a lunchbox. But it's easy to mix things up with the concept just enough to keep things interesting for our little eaters and these spirals do just that. All you need is a rolling pin to flat out a piece of bread and you can make this fun lunch. Serve this idea with milk or water, as you like.
- Sunbutter and jam spirals: flatten a piece of whole grain bread with a rolling pin. Spread with jam and Sunbutter and roll up. Slice into spirals.
- Diced peach: this was about 1/4 of a large peach
- Summer squash: Sliced thinly, this is similar to cucumber and easy for toddlers to much.
- Cheese crackers: These are Annie's
The lunch is packed in a Lunchbots Trio, which is nicely sized for a toddler appetite—though in all honesty, this was lunch and a snack for my girl on the day I made it for her. Those spirals are filling!
