In a few days, I’m sure many families with little ones will stress about the influx of candy. Do I let them eat it? How much should they eat? How long do we keep it around? Will eating Halloween candy totally derail their diet?
To answer all of these questions, I hope you’ll check out the clear game plan in my Year-by-Year Guide to Toddlers and Halloween Candy.
Above is what we’re planning to hand out this year—Enjoy Life Foods chocolate chip snack packs, Welch’s fruit rolls, lollipops, and My Super Foods granola bars. I decided to go this route this year since we always want the regular candy out of the house soon after Halloween, so I figured that we might as well hand out treats that we actually want to keep around! (And hopefully our bigger girl will share a Snickers or two after trick or treating…)
