Help your kids celebrate the holidays, without all of the sugar, with these simple ideas for holiday toasts. They are super fun to put together (at least I thought so!) and are a nutritious way to start the day—or to end it, because, let's face it, we're all busy this time of the year!
For the trees, I spread on a base of peanut butter, made trees out of slivered almonds, and added decorations with dehydrated raspberries. And of course, snow is shredded unsweetened coconut.
The wreath is made with a base of cream cheese, with crushed snap pea crisps for the wreath and dried cherries for the bow.
And the star is a play on the Fairy Bread idea, with thick Greek yogurt and natural sprinkles.
My daughter loved the one with sprinkles best and now requests it regularly!
I’m also planning to try making an igloo out of a slice of cheese and likely a cheese and crackers snowman before the month is over. Let the kids help or do the creative fun all on your own — and delight your little ones come meal time.
