One of our favorite family food experts, Jenny Rosenstrach of Dinner a Love Story, stopped by our podcast to chat with us about feeding kids, feeding ourselves, and a few simple strategies to make family dinners a whole lot easier. You don’t want to miss this conversation!

Meet Jenny
You may know Jenny from her website or from one of her awesome books, including the classic Dinner a Love Story. Or you know her by the abbreviation of her site, DALS. Or maybe you’re just finding out about her as you get more into the trenches of family dinners. We wanted to talk to her to get her best tips to help all of us making family dinners a whole lot easier.
Deconstructed Dinners
We talked to Jenny about some of her best feeding tips, including how to serve deconstructed dinners. We loved hearing how she started doing this and how things have changed as her girls have gotten older. You can see an example of how this works above and below, and more on her blog here.
Since her kids are now both teenagers, it was so interesting to hear more about how the dinner hour has changed in her house from when the girls were little. Neither Virginia or I are there yet, so it was fun to think through what might be in store for us—and which years are the “honeymoon” years of feeding the kids.
