If you’ve hit a bit of a rut with packing lunches, here’s an easy idea that the little ones will love. (This is also a nice option since it includes fun foods without involving leftover Halloween candy!) This is the sort of lunch that we like for days when it seems like we have no food in the house. And often, this sort of basic collection of whole foods goes over really well with toddlers. Here’s what’s in this lunch:
- Baked Applesauce Donut
- Yellow watermelon cubes
- Frozen peas (which will defrost through the morning)
- Cherry tomatoes (you can halve them if you prefer)
You could include milk or water with this lunch, and some Sunbutter to go with the donut for added protein if your toddler has a bigger appetite at mid-day.
