For this week’s toddler lunch we have a lunch for the little one that loves yogurt. This is a fun way to change up the expected and offer a naturally sweet lunch main with a healthy dose of fruit and good fats. The veggies on the side are easy to eat and are okay just barely warmed. This lunch is ideal for a 1 or 2 year old, though you can of course serve it to an older eater (or even yourself!), adjusting portion sizes as needed. Here’s at look at what’s inside:
Serve with milk or water, as you like.
- Plain whole milk yogurt with chia seeds, chopped walnuts (which tend to be softer than most other nuts and therefore easier to chew—try them at home before you send them to school or daycare), and diced strawberries (in a Lifefactory 1-cup container)
- Thawed frozen vegetable medley (in a Wean Green container)
- My Super Foods Hero Cookies (in a Replay snack stack container) and milk (not shown)
- 1/2 of an orange, washed and sliced with the skin left on since they are easy to hold that way, and Mighty 4 Bar
