Homemade Fruit Slushies

Cool off with a refreshing slushie that you can make with just 2 ingredients in a matter of minutes. They’re a great way to stay hydrated and serve up nutrients!

– Frozen fruit: You can use frozen apples, cherries, grapes, peaches, or watermelon for this recipe.  – 100% fruit juice

Ingredients Needed:

Add the frozen fruit and juice to a blender.  Use a juice in the same or a similar flavor as the frozen fruit you use, or use apple juice.

Step 1.

Blend, starting on low and working up to high. Use the stick that came with the blender (if you have one) to get the mixture going if needed.

Step 2.

Add a little more liquid if needed to make a thinnish icy mixture. Serve right after making in a straw cup, an open cup with a straw, or a reusable pouch.

Step 3.

To make this without adding juice, you can do half frozen fruit and half fresh fruit, plus a little water. This works best with watermelon and grapes.

Step 4.

You want to use a fruit with a fairly high amount of water in it for the best results. The liquid amounts in frozen fruits vary, so you may prefer to add a little more juice.
