Favorite  Mango Yogurt

An easy method that stores well and is so darn good!

Ingredients

– Plain yogurt: You can use regular or Greek style.  – Mango: Fresh, frozen or a mango puree.  – Optional ingredients: Fresh lime juice and zest and/or hemp seeds.

Step 1.

If using fresh mango, use a paring knife to peel the skin off. Cut the fruit off of the pit, then dice. Measure out a cup. Add to blender and puree smooth.

Step 2.

If using frozen mango cubes, thaw at room temperature for a few hours or in a heat-safe bowl in the microwave for about 1 minute. Add to a blender and puree smooth.

Step 3.

If you are using mango puree, you can add it straight to the bowl in the next step. Or have your pureed fresh/frozen mango ready to add.

Step 4.

Add the yogurt and the mango puree to a bowl. Stir together well. Use plain whole milk yogurt if possible.

Step 5.

Add in any optional ingredients and stir. Add in hemp seeds for more nutrition if desired. Try it with the lime for an added flavor if desired.

Step 6.

Store in airtight containers or reusable pouches for 3-5 days in the refrigerator.  Serve with a spoon or in a reusable pouch.

Tips

– Top with granola if desired.  – You can use regular or Greek-style yogurt. The only difference is that Greek yogurt makes this a little thicker and has more protein.
