How to Make Salt Dough Ornaments

Add 4 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt, and 1.5 cups water to a big bowl.

Mix the ingredients together in a large bowl using a wooden spoon.

When it becomes too stiff to stir, use clean hands to bring the dough together. Add more water as needed to make a soft, smooth dough.

Roll out between parchment paper.

Stamp with cookie cutters. To make a handprint, stamp with a 4-5 inch circle.

Place onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Use a lollipop stick to poke a hole in any you plan to hang as ornaments.

Press in little hands to make handprints.

Place pan into a 250 degree oven and bake for 90 minutes to 3 hours or until firm.

Paint if desired and share as gifts or keep as mementos!
