Easter Snack: Egg Hunt Snack Tray

This easy Easter snack is such a fun way to make the egg hunting fun extend all the way to snack time and lunch. All you need are plastic Easter eggs, snacks, and an egg carton. And it's so fun for the kids to hunt and eat.

Ingredients

Pick at least one option from these food groups:

  • 1-2 cups Proteins: cheese, beans, shredded cooked chicken, cooked shrimp, and/or hard-cooked eggs
  • 1-2 cups Veggies: Thinly sliced bell peppers, cucumbers, or snap peas; and/or halved cherry tomatoes
  • 1-2 cups Fruit: Halved or quartered grapes, raisins, berries, sliced melon, and/or clementine segments
  • 2-4 cups Carbohydrates: Crackers, sliced bread, Snap Pea Crisps, diced muffin
  • Any fun foods or desserts you want to add!

Instructions

  • Choose your ingredients.
  • Slice or prep as needed. Add to clean Easter eggs and close.
  • Arrange in half of an egg carton and let the kids open their eggs and find their snack (or lunch!).

Notes

    • Use clean, dry Easter Eggs.
    • Cut the food up into small pieces that are easy for the kids to eat.
    • Allow kids to help fill the eggs if they want to, which can extend the activity.
    • Use this as a fun lunch idea in the weeks leading up to Easter.
