With just three ingredients and a super fast cooking method, these Air Fryer Apples are perfect for snack, as a topping for oatmeal or yogurt, or as dessert with whipped cream and ice cream.
Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees F and coat the basket or tray with nonstick spray.
Add the apples, oil, maple syrup, and cinnamon to a bowl and toss to coat well.
When heated, add the apples to the air fryer and cook for 8-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking. They should be soft when poked with a fork and lightly browned around the edges.
Serve warm on their own or with yogurt or ice cream, or let cool and serve as a snack.
Notes
Store for up to 5 days in an airtight container in the fridge. Serve warm or cold.
These can be served on their own as a snack or side, or they can be a topping over pancakes, oatmeal, or yogurt. They also pair nicely with roasted chicken and pork.
I prefer to use cooking apples, such as Granny Smith, for this recipe as they hold up a little better, but any apple will work. The main difference is that softer apples cook faster, and firmer apples take a little longer.
