Fill sandwich bread with pizza sauce, cheese, and pepperoni to make the most fun Pizza Uncrustables—an easy kids meal ready in under 10 minutes and cheaper than store-bought!
Pepperoni, olive oil spray, and Parmesan cheese(optional but recommended)
Instructions
Use a sandwich sealer round or a round cookie cutter to cut out circles from the bread. Set aside the crusts to use later. (See Notes.)
Add 1-2 teaspoons of pizza sauce to the center of half of the bread rounds. Spread, leaving a bare edge (so the sauce doesn't squeeze out the edges.)
Add 1 tablespoon cheese and pepperoni, if using, on top of the sauce.
Put the sandwich sealer round back around the bread, add a plain piece of bread on top, and seal with the other piece of the sandwich sealer. (If using a cookie cutter, you can press the edges of the bread together with a fork.)
Repeat to make the rest of the Uncrustables.
Spray lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with Parmesan. (This helps them brown and adds flavor.)
Air-fry or bake at 375 degrees F for about 4-6 minutes on a parchment paper lined baking tray or until the bread is lightly golden brown. Serve warm...or cold if the kids don't care!
Notes
If using the oven to bake the Uncrustables, preheat the oven before you start assembling.
You can pack these in lunches without cooking them if the kids enjoy them that way.
