Since a lot of the food I share on Instagram is shown on plates, I thought I'd share our three favorites today. Consider these my top picks for kid-friendly plates that are eco-friendly and durable (and also not covered in Disney characters, which is just my personal preference!)
Stainless Steel Sectional Plate, large
This plate is plastic-free and incredibly durable. We've had it for about a year and a half and it still looks as new as the first day we used it. It wipes clean quickly and is easy for our little one to carry to the table when she's helping me set the table.
Re-Play Recycled Divided Plate
These are a recent addition to our collection partly because the colors are so fun and partly because they are going to be so perfect for picnics and eating outside when the weather warms up. They are made with recycled plastic (see more about the material here) and they are really affordable. I was worried about staining from foods like salsa or pasta sauce but so far so good!
White Salad Plates
Our girl is really aware of whether we're all using the same plates, cups, and silverware, so these plain white plates, which match our standard white dinner plates, are essential. Yes, these would break if dropped from high up onto cement, but in our kitchen, they have proved to be very durable and we've never broken one. (Our kiddo also likes to use my green milk glass plates, but they are pretty fragile so I'm doing my best to hold off that particular interest, for now at least.)

P.S. We avoid putting any kind of plastic into the microwave and wash it by hand with a soft sponge or on the top rack in the dishwasher. This avoids scratching and high heat, both of which you want to avoid.
