Meet the Ibotta App
I started using the Ibotta App on my phone a few months ago as an easy way to save money on foods I’d already be buying. I love how easy it is to simply scan the bar code and have cash back sent right to my account. They just launched a new browser extension so you can save on grocery pickup and delivery, which means more easy ways to save!
TIP: I’m sharing some photos of a recent grocery haul from Walmart (we needed art supplies so I took care of all of our groceries for the week while we were there!) so you can see what I typically buy.
Where to Save on Online Groceries
The browser extension works with major retailers like Walmart Grocery, Target, Shipt, and more. I’ve been using it with Walmart Grocery pickup so I can easily stock up on our favorite kids snacks (like Z Bars and Gogo Squeeze pouches), pantry staples (like almond butter, pasta, and bread), and household items (like toilet paper and wipes).

Best Grocery Coupons
I admit that I’m not usually someone who uses coupons because it just seems like too much work, but I like using Ibotta because it’s easy and straight forward. I simply check the deals for my store before I go or order, then scan the bar code on my receipt when I get home and they send cash right to my account. I love the idea of donating the money during the holidays, using it for takeout to give yourself a break from cooking, or simply to help make your food budget go a little farther.
TIP: Above is the produce I bought in a recent Walmart order. Both the grapes and the yellow kiwi were on sale and earned me cash back.
How to Earn Cash Back on Groceries with Ibotta
I usually earn $5-$10 back on a typical grocery order, depending on the week, which adds up over the course of a whole month. I also love that it sometimes reminds me to try foods that we haven’t had in a while which is a nice way to break out of a food rut!
