I’m coaching my son’s t-ball team and our practices happen right during our usual dinner time. My partner and I can’t seem to figure out how to feed the kids and ourselves without a real scramble. Is there some magic trick I’m missing? —Lynn

Truly, as soon as a little kid starts doing an activity—or there’s an older sibling who does a sport or class, dinner can become so much harder. Here’s what I’ve learned to do.
