I love making super simple Fruit Popsicles and Fruit Ice Pops for my kids since they’re refreshing and easy, but my kids are downright obsessed with these Lemon Popsicles. I made them once on a trip (because they don’t require a blender) and they have been a favorite hydrating food ever since!

We love these as a stand alone snack or dessert for kids, or I like to pair them with my Lemon Yogurt Muffins, Fruit and Nut Bars, or Homemade Graham Crackers.
Why this Recipe Works
A lot of people make these popsicles with homemade lemonade, but I find these to be a particularly lovely toddler snack precisely because I don’t have to make anything! Which means I make them with store bought lemonade—you can use a lower-added-sugar version if you prefer.
From there, you have the option to leave them as is or blend in yogurt or coconut cream to make them creamy and more like the texture of my Strawberry Popsicles.
Ingredients You Need
Here’s a look at the ingredients you need to have on hand to make Lemon Popsicles so you know what to pick up from the store or have ready.

- Lemonade: You can use any lemonade you prefer, including one made with lower added sugar. (Look for the Honest Kids brand at most supermarkets.) You can also make homemade lemonade, but that is usually way too many steps for this busy mom!
- Greek yogurt (or coconut cream or coconut milk; optional): You can blend this into the lemonade to make a creamy popsicle and add more nutrients. The popsicles are yummy both ways.

Lemon Popsicles FAQs
I prefer any made with simple ingredients, which are usually just water, lemon juice, and sugar or simple syrup.
You can use small 4 ounce paper or plastic cups and popsicle sticks.
Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, a little honey (for kids over age 1), maple syrup, lemon zest, or sliced strawberries or raspberries.

How to Store
Place frozen popsicles either in silicone popsicle molds or plastic molds in a freezer bag or airtight container for longer term storage.
Best Tips for Success
- Use any type of lemonade from the store you prefer. (You can also make it from scratch, but this way is super easy.)
- Add sliced strawberries or raspberries to the lemonade liquid to add fruit to these to enhance the fresh lemon flavor.
- Serve as a toddler snack, food to soothe a sore throat, or as a hydrating food for kids on hot summer days.
- Try more homemade popsicles including my Peach Popsicles, Mango Popsicles, Pineapple Popsicles, and Grape Popsicles, which are all great for warm weather.
