Table of Contents

Creative Stocking Stuffers for Toddlers
Fuel those little artistic minds with these creative stocking stuffers for toddlers. These are small gifts that provide a lot of open ended creation and play.
1. COLORED MASKING TAPE
We play with tape more than I ever expected. We use it to make pictures and shapes on construction paper, to play while we’re waiting at restaurants, and while traveling to entertain ourselves.
It comes off of any surface easily, so it’s easy to clean up when we’re done! You can also use it to make a raceway on the floor for cars! It’s a random but very fun toddler stocking stuffer.

2. PLAYDOUGH
I love this Eco-Dough for toddlers who may still put most things into their mouths. The colors are beautiful and you can split a pack between two kids if you’d like to. This ranks up there with sidewalk chalk as a continuous favorite!

3. DO-A-DOT ART MARKERS
These toddler markers have long been a favorite art supply in our house. I love how easy they are for toddlers to grasp and hold—and how many different ways there are to color with these! (My big kids still love these.)

4. WATER WOW! COLORING BOOKS
These water coloring books have saved us on so many occasions that I try to have one on hand whenever we go anywhere. They’re perfect for quiet play in restaurants or in the car and are the ideal size and skill level for toddlers.

5. MINI STICKER SET
With endless options for making animal faces, this is a great stocking stuffer that will come in so handy on a snowy day! We love to make scenes with stickers on paper, and the tactile fine motor skills involved in getting stickers off the paper onto another one is great for little hands.

6. STAMP KIT
I’ve never met a kit who didn’t love to stamp (and be stamped!), and this mini set is a perfect toddler stocking stuffer.

Fun Stocking Stuffers to Learn With
Give your kids the chance to learn and explore through their toys with these fun stocking stuffer ideas.
1. EGG SHAKER INSTRUMENTS
Ever since we went to Kindermusik music classes, we’ve been raving about these Egg Shakers. They’re a perfect size for toddler hands and are so sturdy! A great toddler stocking stuffer.

2. Toddler Instrument Set
Shake, rattle, and roll to any music your family likes with this mini instrument set meant for little hands.

3. MAGNIFYING GLASS
A little magnifying glass can turn going anywhere into an adventure. Even if you just go to a different room in the house! And this snake one is particularly sweet as a 2-year-old stocking stuffer.

4. MINI PUZZLES
These beginner puzzles are cute and well-designed. And they are easy for toddlers to assemble, too.

5. I SPY BOARD BOOKS
My kids LOVED these books as toddlers, and I love how many different ways there are for us to engage with the pages.

Playtime Stocking Stuffers for Little Kids
Little toys and extra-special items (like a new toothbrush and fun Band-Aids) are a perfect way to round out a child’s stocking. And actually, many of these items would be great stocking stuffers for babies, too.
1. NO-SPILL BUBBLES
Go for the mini no-spill bubbles, and everyone will thank you for the hours of entertainment from this toddler stocking stuffer.

2. SILK SCARVES
We love these for dancing and dress up—they’re lightweight, easy to tie into superhero capes, and so versatile. We’ve even been known to take them on airplane rides for endless games of peekaboo.

3. SPOT IT!
This is such a fun game to play with little kid—and it comes in so many different designs now!

4. PIGGY PAINT
Nontoxic and kid-safe, these bright nail polish are so fun. Plus, they dry really fast, which is a big plus when working with kids.

5. TEMPORARY TATTOOS
My kids LOVE these produce temporary tattoos, which are easy to apply and don’t last forever. And these are a super fun way to get little kids into eating their veggies…or at the very least, recognizing them!

Practical Stocking Stuffers (That Are Also Fun)
Gifting them a special something to use during mealtimes can make things a little more fun and special—and it’s a great way to ensure that the stocking stuffers get a lot of use in the coming year!
1. SQUEASY GEAR POUCH
This reusable silicone pouch is our go-to for smoothies and has been for quite a while. We have both sizes and use them depending on the snacking needs. I recommend them for all parents wanting to serve more smoothies and yogurt to their kids in a virtually mess-free way!

2. REUSABLE SNACK BAGS
We love these easy-to-clean snack bags from Bumkins with all of their Disney patterns. They’re perfect for stashing snacks (or mama essentials) a diaper bag. I like to use a different pattern for each kid to make it easy to know which snack belongs to which kiddo.

3. CHARACTER BANDAIDS
I’m not sure what it is about toddlers and Band-Aids, but they love them! Pick up a package of their favorite character for happy stocking opening on Christmas.

4. LIGHT-UP TOOTHBRUSHES
These toddler toothbrushes are so handy! The light blinks for the duration that kids need to brush, which is somehow much more fun than counting or singing a song.

5. MINI WHISK
We love gifting kid-friendly cooking tools like these silicone whisks that are ideal for small hands—and to use as a toddler stocking stuffer. (Looking for more cooking tools for kids? Check out these kids cooking tools!)

6. Kids Scissor and Knife Set
This set has helped my kids cut up their own food for years. It’s a great option to stick into a stocking.
Frequently Asked Questions
I love to fill a stocking with a few things that I know will delight my kiddo, one or two things they can immediately play with, and maybe a treat or two to round things out. It will of course depend on how big the stocking is too!
Small items they will actually use including craft supplies, small toys, books, and more are great stocking stuffers.
Snacks, stickers, bubbles, and small games can be great options.

Hi Amy!
I love each one of suggestions you had – thank you very much for your effort. It is such a comfort to know that I can trust the things you recommend.
Ahh one auggestion for improvement: I am reading these while nursing on my phone and the the things pop up block the entire view. I wonder if anything can be done. I had to bat off the pop ups multiple times.
Thank you for that feedback. Things shouldn’t be popping up repeatedly or blocking the whole screen so I will for sure look into that tomorrow!
Hi Amy,
I love some of your recipes. They are healthy and yummy. Just a suggestion your website has got too many ads pop up. Sometimes I feel too tried to continue reading.

You’re so welcome!
My son also loves those tiny Japanese erasers that can come apart and then be put together like a mini puzzle. Best for over 3, though, since they are a choking hazard.
Great idea!
