Welcome to YTF Community, a place to safely share in the challenges and joys of feeding our families. And make all of it easier! This is a weekly members post with advice and encouragement. (Welcome to all the new members this week, too!)

If your social media feed is anything like mine this month, it is filled with posts with carefully portioned containers in a spotless fridge that is somehow also arranged in rainbow order. It also somehow looks “normal”, even though I fully know it is completely unrealistic.
To help counter that, I’m here to share the very real approach I use to feed my own family. I’ve been refining this since I wrote Dinnertime SOS—because I know firsthand just how hard pulling off meals with little kids really is.
This is how I reduce my work, both physical and mental, in my own kitchen while keeping my food budget in mind…and also waste a lot less food.
My approach can be customized to fit any situation in terms of time, energy, interest, and money we have to put towards our meals.
Because the entire point is to figure out what actually makes YOUR life easier by paying attention to what works in your reality, what you and your kids enjoy…and what is absolutely a complete waste of time in this phase of your life—because that matters too!

How to Create a Custom Meal Plan

Hello! Thank you for all of your posts! I wanted to know, what is the light red/pinkish dip that you have in the picture of the deconstructed tacos?
Thank you,
Katie
Hi- With tacos, I like a sauce/dip that is half salsa and half sour cream. It’s SO yummy!
