Welcome to YTF Community, a place to safely share in the challenges and joys of feeding our families. And make all of it easier!

I know I talk about freezer meals for families a lot on my website and social media, but I realized I’ve never given the play-by-play of how I make sure I use it all. I know how easily our freezers can become the place where well-intentioned food dies a slow death… it is so easy to forget what is there.

To help you waste less food, save some money on feeding your family—because you can use more of the food you buy and make, and save a little on takeout or prepared freezer meal by having a stash of quick meals at the ready—here’s how I maintain my freezer stash.

Also a quick note: I consider everything in my freezer to be my “freezer stash”. This includes frozen veggies, frozen fruit, and prepared frozen meals from the store, plus also homemade freezer meals or snacks I’ve frozen for future use.

The biggest question I have each time I show freezer meals is how I make sure I use the frozen food I have.
