If you’re looking for fun, creative, educational, wearable, and affordable stocking stuffers for toddlers, this list will make one thing on your holiday to-do list a lot easier!
Stocking Stuffers for Toddlers
I know that exactly how Christmas stockings are handled in everyone’s houses can vary considerably, but I also know that it’s so fun to fill them with small gifts our kids will love! This list, which I’ve broken up into subcategories including creative stocking stuffers for toddlers, educational stocking stuffers for toddlers, wearable stocking stuffers for toddlers, and just for fun stocking stuffers, will give you some new ideas to try this year!
Stocking Stuffers for Kids
Use this list as inspiration and for specific ideas, and tailor it to your specific child. Each of our kids has their own unique likes and dislikes, so not everything on this list will work for every kiddo—and that’s perfectly okay! Plus, there’s nothing on this list that’s pricey or expensive, so picking a few will keep you on your holiday budget.
Creative Stocking Stuffers for Toddlers
I love this Eco-Dough for toddlers who may still put most things into their mouths. The colors are beautiful and you can split a pack between two kids if you’d like to.
- COLORED MASKING TAPE
We play with tape more than I ever expected. We use it to make pictures and shapes on construction paper, to play while we’re waiting at restaurants, and we use it while traveling to entertain ourselves. It comes off of any surface easily, so it’s easy to clean up when we’re done! You can also use it to make a raceway on the floor for cars! (We also love Washi Tape.)
- DOT-A-DOT MARKERS
These have long been a favorite art supply in our house and I love how easy they are for toddlers to grasp and hold—and how many different ways there are to color with these!
- WATER WOW COLORING BOOKS
These books have saved us on so many occasions that I try to have one on hand whenever we go anywhere. They’re perfect for quiet play in restaurants or in the car and are the ideal size and skill level for toddlers
- STICKER BOOKS
There are millions of sticker sets out there, but I love this one with the familiar Eric Carle animals on it. We love to make scenes with stickers and paper and the tactile fine motor skill involved in getting stickers off the paper onto another one is great for little hands.
- STAMP KIT
I’ve never met a kit who didn’t love to stamp (and be stamped!) and this mini set is a perfect toddler stocking stuffer.
Educational Stocking Stuffers for Toddlers
- EGG SHAKER INSTRUMENTS
Ever since we went to Kindermusik, we rave and rave about these Egg Shakers. They’re a perfect size for toddler hands and are so sturdy!
- MAGNIFYING GLASS
A little magnifying glass can turn going anywhere into an adventure. Even if you just go to a different room in the house! And this snake one is particularly sweet.
- MINI PUZZLES
These will be for older kiddos in the bunch, but I will say that my two year old loves taking the pieces out and putting them back in. Which means this is a gift that both she and her older sister love to play with.
- I SPY BOARD BOOKS
My two year old LOVES these books and I love how many different ways there are for us to engage with the pages.
- DUPLO SET
With just a few pieces and a fun design to put together and play with, this Duplo Set is a perfect stocking stuffer for toddlers!
- MINI WHISK
We love gifting kid-friendly cooking tools like these silicone whisks that are ideal for small hands. (Looking for more cooking tools for kids? Check out this post!)
Wearable Stocking Stuffers for Toddlers
Fun tights make clothes much more fun and it’s one of my favorite simple ways to inspire my toddler to get out of her pjs in the morning. Bonus points for tights that look like animals!
Whether your toddler needs a new or backup winter hat or sunhat, stashing one into the stocking is always a good idea!
- FUN SOCKS
Nothing makes getting dressed in the morning more fun than fun socks! (At least, it certainly can’t hurt!)
- PIGGY PAINT
Non-toxic and kid-safe, these bright nail polish are so fun! Plus, they dry really fast, which is a big plus when working with kids.
- TEMPORARY TATTOS
My kids LOVE these produce temporary tattoos, which are easy to apply and don’t last forever. They’re a super fun way to get little kids into eating their veggies.
We have a hand-me-down pair of these Garnet Hill slippers from my nephew (the dragon ones!) and T has hardly taken them off since. They’re super cozy, soft, and come in so many fun designs.
Just-for-Fun Stocking Stuffers for Toddlers
Go for the mini no-spill bubbles and everyone will thank you for the hours of entertainment.
- BATH TOYS
Whether you go for light up bath toys—like this one, which my two year old used for a whole year!—or these stickable foam ones, restocking the bath toy assortment is a great way to start 2019.
We love these for dancing and dress up—they’re lightweight, easy to tie into superhero capes, and so versatile. We’ve even been known to take them on airplane rides!
- FIREFLY LIGHT UP TOOTHBRUSHES
If you’ve never tried one of these toddler toothbrushes, they are so handy! The light blinks for the duration that they need to brush, which is somehow much more fun than counting or singing a song.
I’m not sure what it is about toddlers and bandaids, but they love them! Pick up a package of their favorite character for happy stocking opening come Christmas.
- CARD GAMES
There’s a reason that Go Fish is a classic!
- AUDIO BOOKS
We recently checked out a Winnie the Pooh audio cd from the library and woah, my kids were so into it! I often forget to give them the chance to listen to storytelling (outside of reading books) and think that adding a favorite audio book to a stocking would be a great way to start the new year!
- SQUEASY GEAR POUCH
This reusable silicone pouch is our go-to for smoothies and has been for the past year and a half. We have both sizes and use them depending on the snacking needs and I recommend this for all parents wanting to serve more smoothies and yogurt to their kids in a virtually mess-free way!
- MUNCHKIN MIRACLE 360 STRAW LID
My younger kiddo hasn’t been able to get the hang of the Miracle 360 Cup, which is why I’m so glad that they came out with a straw lid! It also makes the super popular sippy cup more versatile for drinks like smoothies.
- KLEEN KANTEEN WATER BOTTLE
I know that people have their favorite water bottles for kids, but this is mine, hands down. It’s SO incredibly durable and lasts for years, even when dropped repeatedly!
- KIDDO BLOOM STAINLESS SILVERWARE
My toddler is obsessed with her set to the point that she refuses to eat with any other silverware…toddlers! These stainless and perfectly sized fork and spoon set are durable and sweet and easy to clean. Win, win!
