“How do you manage snacks? It’s all my kids ever want and they just eat them all day long. Help!”

Almost from the start, I had a pretty consistent meal and snack routine as far as the timing of when we eat. That was a survival strategy more than anything else, but we still follow it all these years later. Essentially breakfast at 7, snack at 10, lunch at 12, snack at 3, dinner at 5:30, bedtime snack at 7/7:30.

But what helps more than that is just allowing snacks to be ample.

There’s this idea that a “snack” is inherently a bad thing or is a thing we need to convince our kids to not want. When really, it’s simply an opportunity to eat.

And toddlers do usually need to eat every 2-3 hours.
