Welcome to YTF Community, a place to safely share in the challenges and joys of feeding our families.

It’s time for my regular series showing more real life meals without styling, fancy lighting, or propping because I think it helps to see more of the reality of feeding a family.
This time, I have a week of our real life breakfasts that I shared with my kids. Each of these can be made ahead of time and served quickly in the morning. Most rely on basic pantry ingredients that you can find at a regular grocery store and might even have on hand.
Are they “perfect”? Of course not because that really does not exist when feeding kids. But the breakfast ideas were doable for me to make and serve, the kids actually liked them, and they were satisfying enough for me too…because we moms need to eat too!
The first one shown above—Pumpkin Bars—is one of our favorite fall breakfasts that I’ve been making for at least 8 years. This year I figured out an easy way to add more beneficial fats and protein to help it be a little more filling (since my little guy is often starving in the morning).
