As we head into summer months, it seems like everyone I know has hit a wall with making dinner. To help, I am answering three reader questions on the topic to share doable, realistic ways to feed everyone at the end of the day…without breaking your budget or being totally miserable about it all. (I hope anyway!)
With it being light later and being out of the house more in the afternoon (at the pool, at the park, in the yard), how I can make dinner easier on myself? I feel like I am constantly throwing something together when we walk in the door..and let’s just say it’s chaos and I yell too much. —Jen
Yes, I think this is a lot of families right now and yes, this is one of the continuously difficult things about having a family—they do need to eat everyday, without fail. From my personal experience and through keeping tabs on what works for other people in this siutation, there are really only three ways to handle this:
