Welcome to YTF Community, a place to safely share in the challenges and joys of feeding our families. And make all of it easier! This is a weekly members post with advice and encouragement. (Welcome to all the new members this week, too!)

“What are the meals your kids like as much as you do? I can’t figure out what to cook that everyone in my house will actually eat.”
—Lia
I keep a running list on my fridge of these because I am always forgetting what these meals are in my house…because my kids keep changing their minds about what they like. Here’s my current list of recipes I like as much as my three kids:
- Yogurt Pancakes, Breakfast Pizza Rolls, scrambled eggs with tater tots and sausage
- Greek Yogurt Pizza, Pesto Pizza
- Pastina Soup, Cheeseburger Pasta, Stir Fry Noodles
- Sloppy Joes, Sheet Pan Black Bean Quesadillas, Fish Stick Tacos
- Chicken Cutlets, Baked Chicken Nuggets, Baked Chicken Tenders
I do aim for some variety over the course of a week, though it is nice to have family favorites in regular rotation.

“Why do some of your recipes have refined sugar in them if they are meant for toddlers, who are not supposed to have any sugar at all?”
—Sunnie
My goal has always been to make delicious recipes with as little added sugar as possible, if any.
And I love relying on naturally present sugars to flavor foods—and I do it often, like in my ABC Muffins, Banana Yogurt Muffins, and my Bliss Balls. And my whole list of no-added sugar snacks.
I often give the option to add it or not so you can make that choice for your own family. And it is great to give babies and toddlers unsweetened foods so they can learn what ingredients taste like on their own.
But sometimes there are valid reasons to add sweetener. Many of which are almost never mentioned on social media, from the pediatrician, or in the new food pyramid.
