Welcome to YTF Community, a place to safely share in the challenges and joys of feeding our families. And make all of it easier!

As our weather has warmed up, my approach to kids snacks has shifted slightly. And since I’ve had a few recent questions about how to start making homemade snacks–because I get it, it’s overwhelming to decide and then actually get it done–I thought I’d share how I do it.

These are the most common healthy snacks to make at home that I turn to for my three kids. Each is made with a small number of simple, nutritious ingredients. And they help me use basic ingredients I have in the house, which means I can save money on store bought snacks.

And this specific approach helps me avoid food waste too, because I have figured out how to make things they’ll actually eat!
