I am always looking for shortcut toddler meals that are super doable for most families—and that help me feed my kids even when life is chaotic—and this easy pizza for kids is a favorite.

The method is fast, the crust is tender and easy for littles to chew, and the toppings are versatile…making Naan Pizza a real hit of a kid-friendly recipe.

Why this Recipe Works

By using mini naan bread as the crust, you can speed up the process of making pizza—with any toppings your kids like. This is one of fastest ways to make homemade pizza even easier.

Ingredients You Need

Here’s a look at the ingredients you need to make Naan Pizza.

Ingredients for naan pizza on countertop.
  • Mini naan bread: Look for these near tortillas or bread in your supermarket. I like to use mini naan since it’s a perfect personal pizza size, but you can also just cut full size naan into wedges or slices if that’s what you are able to find.
  • Pizza sauce: I usually use jarred pizza sauce for ease, but this will also work with a thin layer of Basil Pesto Sauce or my Hidden Veggie Pasta Sauce as a more veggie-full option.
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese: The classic pizza cheese works great here. You can use nondairy cheese if needed, of course!
  • Parmesan cheese, pepperoni, sliced mushrooms or peppers, cooked Italian sausage, or other pizza toppings are all options according to your preference. You can even let the kids help add their own toppings, too.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I make quick Naan Pizza in the air fryer?

Follow the same instructions as the info below with a slightly lower temp. See the recipe!

Is there a way to get a crispier crust?

You can prebake the naan for 4 minutes before you add the toppings. That will help a little if you want the crust to be crispier.

What are some adult toppings I can add to my own pizza?

Try fresh basil, an arugula salad, fresh cherry tomatoes, prosciutto, red pepper flakes or really any of your favorite toppings. (I sometimes make a salad pizza by topping my pizza with a freshly tossed salad which is so good.)

Best Tips for Success

  • Use scissors to cut the Naan Pizza into little bites or strips for easy eating for toddlers.
  • If you can’t find mini naan, use full size naan and just cut it into wedges or strips.
  • Make sure any raw veggies are sliced thinly so they soften in the short cooking time.

Ingredients

  • 6 mini naan bread
  • ¾ cup pizza sauce
  • cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan
  • Pepperoni, thinly sliced mushrooms, sliced olives or other desired toppings (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone liner.
  • Place the naan bread onto the prepared pan and spread on the sauce.
  • Top with cheeses and any other toppings.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and lightly browned. (You can also do this in the air fryer for about 8 minutes at 400 degrees F.)
  • Remove from oven and let cool for a minute or so before cutting and serving.

Notes

  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days and reheat in the microwave or toaster oven until warmed through.
  • Cut up for younger kids and serve with a simple side of fruit for an easy meal.
  • Add fully cooked ground meat or sausage or partially cooked bell pepper or broccoli. Or add pepperoni, thinly sliced mushrooms, olives, or spinach directly on top of the sauce and cook as directed.
  • Dairy-free: Use a favorite dairy-free cheese.
