A friend with a baby was recently asking me what I’d recommend she have on hand when her kiddo turns one to make feeding her easier—and I was so ready to put her mind at ease!

My kitchen philosophy is to buy things that last, are multi-purpose, easy to use, and easy to clean. Which means I don’t have a ton of gadgets and most of my essentials are not toddler-specific items—but are items that make feeding toddlers easier and will last for years beyond that phase.

Below are the highlights from my list, with the explanation for why and how and whether!

P.S. If there is something you are looking for and it’s not on here, feel free to comment and I’ll let you know if I have a trusted option!
