I am always in favor of simplifying cooking whenever possible and summer is a great time of the year to do it. This way, we can enjoy more time at at the lake, pool, beach, playground, or with friends—or just take some of the load off when we have to go to work and feed everyone on normal days.

Below you’ll find some of my very favorite breakfast recipes to rely on in the summer. (We also love cereal and milk with fruit and bagels and cream cheese.) Many of these can be made ahead, which can be a great way to simplify the morning if needed.
